The Port of Dos Bocas its located in the state of Tabasco, on the south coast of the Gulf of Mexico, outlined for its excellent geographical location, since it offers companies immediate connectivity with the main consumption centers and the most important petroleum business centers of the region through the highways net and the international airport of Villahermosa.

Dos Bocas it has been a growth and development key link for the most economic sectors of the south-east region Mexico: Industrial and Petroleum. Being the youngest commercial Port of Mexico, it offers specialized port services, multipurpose infrastructure and business segments that cover all the short, medium and long term projects requirements.

From both Multipurpose and Supply Terminals, the Port of Dos Bocas brings logistic support to the hydrocarbons exploration and production activities developed in the bay of Campeche, as well as to the commercial and industrial cargo operations, enhancing the national and foreign companies investment projects, and also promoting the participation of specialized services vendors.

In the year 2010 Dos Bocas was consolidated as mineral bulk and liquid asphalt cargo arrival port, generating competitiveness to the industrial sectors in the Region.

The Port specialization on industrial and logistic activities, allowed the development of the 173 acres Oil Related Industrial Park, designed to support companies operations from many sectors, promoting the investment projects development on a wide range of topics such as:

  • Fluids.
  • Mineral bulk.
  • Agricultural bulk.
  • Dry and reefer cargo.
  • Container and general cargo.
  • Storage areas.
  • Logistic services.
  • Distribution and manufacture centers.


The shipping and logistics companies in the port facilities, allowed the consolidation of Dos Bocas as the new alternative for cruises calls, along with the wide range of specialized and certified services, key elements of this industry worldwide.


History


The port of Dos Bocas, Tabasco, was built by Petroleos Mexicanos (PEMEX) in the period 1979 to 1982, the year that started operations for the exclusive use of PEMEX to be a port facility in the oil core in the southeast.

To be a port to generate economic development in their area of influence, providing port services to consolidate the activities offshore oil industry and opening the port to commercial and industrial activities.
