Due its strategic position within the Gulf of Mexico, the Port of Dos Bocas has become a regional hub for reception and specialized maintenance to offshore drilling oilrigs, beneficiating the development of the national oil industry.

With a comprehensive maintenance and adaptation three months program, the “PRIMUS” jack up, 71.23 meters length and 63.31 meters beam, will receive a wide range of specialized services before checking with PEMEX for exploration and production tasks.

The PRIMUS, owned by Servicios Petroleros Oro Negro, an oil sector mexican company, arrived from Singapore and is the first jack up in 2013, in the list of four platforms that will arrive to the Port of Dos Bocas.

Providing infrastructure and specialized services for the oil industry, the Port of Dos Bocas has positioned as leader in the development of jack up maintenance projects, generating economic benefits and professionalization of local labor in these activities. From 2009 to 2012, the port has received 10 similar equipments of local and foreign companies from the oil sector.
