1,036 Tug Boat Services were given in 2012 in all the Dos Bocas Port´s Terminals, not including the monobuoys area.

With the arrival of the 103 ft. length, 36 ft beam, 30.006 gross tonnages and 72 tons towing power, SMS Dos Bocas tug boat, San Miguel Shipping has officially become the first Dos Bocas Port´s towing port vendor.

With the San Miguel Shipping – Port of Dos Bocas contract signing and its registration in the Mexican Ports and Maritime Administration (CGPMM), this company achieves the responsibility to bring the towing service properly and on time within the port´s navigation areas, docking areas, monobuoys areas and the maritime terminals.

In 2012, the Port of Dos Bocas registered 5,757 vessel arrivals, developed 1,036 towing operations, most of them to support marine oil rigs arrivals and departures, a new growing business in this port, based on the requirements of the national oil industry.

On the first quarter of 2013, the Port of Dos Bocas currently has a 60 port vendors list, companies offering specialized services to the commercial, industrial and oil related cargo, strengthened the position of the Port of Dos Bocas as a logistic hub in the Gulf of Mexico.
