The International trade of bulk cargo such as mineral coal, pet coke, sugar and milled barite has become one of the most common activities in the Multipurpose Terminal of the Port of Dos Bocas in the recent years, registering in 2012 more than 90,000 tonnes in only two types of this products, under the Customs regime of "Clearance at place other than the Authorized", regardless movements of rock for offshore oil industry which reach more than 200,000 tons per project.

By this way, the Port Authority of Dos Bocas, has located a variety of industrial and agricultural products traded in the region and whose bulk cargo logistics allow them to obtain greater economic benefits, through a combination of competitive factors as efficiency in load and unload, storage, timeouts and customs tools.

Raw cement, sand, fertilizers, chemicals and a variety of agricultural grains are some of the materials and products of oil and industrial sectors, which have the potential to form part of the standard charging port in 2013, taking advantage of the port facilities: multipurpose docks, storage yards in the Industrial Park of 70 hectares and the list of 58 vendor companies providing port services.

With these actions, the Ministry of Communications and Transport, through the General Coordination of Ports and Merchant Marine, strengthen the competitive position of the private sector, offering integrated solutions for handling bulk cargoes.
