Dos Bocas Port reports a 67% growth in cargo handling at the multipurpose terminal
The Port of Dos Bocas starts its second half of the year with a significant increase of 67.91% of cargo operated in the Multipurpose Terminal, compared to July 2011.

The outstanding cargo handled in the port are fluids such as asphalt, oil wells stimulation and drilling mud chemicals, which represent 40% of the total; mineral and agricultural bulk such as pet coke and sugar, 38%; and the remaining 22% composed by both general and break bulk cargo.
One of the achievements in this period was the export of 27,900 tons of raw sugar, operation performed within the port for the first time ever, opening new foreign trade opportunities for agricultural products.
The oil industry has played an important role in the port operations growth, generating oversized structures, tools and equipments, oil rigs and general cargo traffic on offshore, cabotage and international trade, opening new business opportunities for logistics and supply projects.

The oil related Port of Dos Bocas has also a strategic location for commercial and industrial cargo from U.S., Europe, and Latin America markets.
The infrastructure investments by the Ministry for Communications and Transport in the port, has consolidate and strengthened all its activities, providing infrastructure and creating legal certainty to the companies and their investment projects, generating added value to the economic regions of the country.
