With an estimated cost of 4 million dollars, the Federal Government through the Ministry of Communications and Transport and the Mexican Ports Authorities General Coordination, are currently investing in the construction of the second multipurpose dock in the Port of Dos Bocas, in order to increase the potential for business development at the Port.
This work was supervised by Mr. Alejandro Chacon, Ports Authorities General Coordinator, and it's considered a second stage of the dock project construction which first stage began in late 2010 with a 3 million dollars investment to build the reinforced dock piles.
The construction of the second docking position will enlarge up to 550 feet the Multipurpose Terminal dock, generating opportunities to increase port activities and cargo handling currently performed by several companies, such liquid asphalt, drilling fluids, pet coke, coal, general cargo, machinery and specialized equipment of large dimensions.
